Description
The completely newly developed JetStream fans
The new JetStream fans set new standards in the Alpenföhn portfolio! An airflow-optimised impeller, a further developed frame and a Next-Gen bearing each ensure outstanding running smoothness with maximum performance. The JetStream's anti-vibration pads also minimise any vibrations.
High-end heatpipes & copper base plate
The 6 high-end heatpipes have a very large connection to the nickel-plated copper base plate and can therefore optimally absorb the waste heat from the CPU. As a result, the heatpipes transport the waste heat from the processor quickly and efficiently to the large heat sink.
Matt black surface coating
The entire heat sink of the Brocken 4 Max has a stylish matt black coating. Black is beautiful - we think so too!
Asymmetrical heat sink
The asymmetrical design of the Brocken 4 Max allows maximum flexibility in the selection of RAM modules. No matter how high the heatspreader of the module may be - it fits easily!
100% RAM compatibility on 1700, 1200, 115X, AM5 and AM4 sockets.
100% RAM compatibility on 1700, 1200, 115X, AM5 and AM4 sockets.
Rock Mount 3 mounting system
The RockMount3 mounting system included in the scope of delivery offers a secure hold on the sockets:
Intel® LGA: 1700, 1200, 115X, 20XX
AMD: AM5, AM4
Intel® LGA: 1700, 1200, 115X, 20XX
AMD: AM5, AM4
Expandable fan configuration
For even more performance, additional fan brackets and corresponding decoupling elements are included in the scope of delivery. This allows you to easily mount an additional 120 mm fan on the back of the heat sink and thus increase the cooling performance even further.
Awards

"With the Brocken 4 Max, Alpenföhn has expanded its Brocken cooler series with a very compact twin-tower cooler right at the release of the 4th generation, which has consistently shown itself from its best side in our test. Even though the cooler is quite flat for a twin-tower cooler, the cooler was able to achieve a very good cooling performance in combination with the two high-quality fans, with which even a current high-end CPU can be cooled to good temperatures. In a direct comparison with quite compact twin-tower coolers from other manufacturers, the new Brocken 4 Max can achieve the same cooling performance thanks to the JetStream fans newly developed by Alpenföhn with a significantly lower background noise level. However, the new Brocken 4 Max not only impresses with its good and quiet cooling, but also with its excellent compatibility with compact cases and storage systems with high heat sinks. Even though Alpenföhn has dispensed with RGB lighting or illuminated fans on the new Brocken 4 Max, Alpenföhn has succeeded in giving the cooler a very stylish and discreet design. The price of the new Brocken 4 Max twin tower cooler is €84.90 at market launch 🛒."

"The new flagship from Alpenföhn impressed us straight away, because for a fair €84.90 you get one of the best air coolers currently on the market. The Brocken 4 Max not only has a first-class finish, but also offers excellent cooling performance (overclocking experiments are no problem), high RAM compatibility and a secure mounting system (including a practical screwdriver). Another highlight are the two new in-house JetStream fans, which offer an impressive combination of high airflow and low acoustics. As we could not find any serious points of criticism, we give it an unreserved recommendation to buy!"

"The Brocken 4 and the Brocken 4 Max left us with an all-round successful impression in the test, although we like the Brocken 4 Max a tick better. But first things first. Both new coolers combine a discreet design, high-quality workmanship and an extensive accessory package as well as simple and good installation. In terms of pure volume, the Brocken 4 has the edge, while the Brocken 4 Max is more convincing in terms of pure cooling performance. However, both coolers have in common that they run very quietly and offer good cooling performance for their size."

"The law of diminishing returns applies here in a marvellous way, because there is no reason to buy anything more expensive than the Alpenföhn Brocken 4 MAX if you are looking for such a large air cooler. This is another success story from this company as you are getting a complete product, especially considering today's markets. The Brocken 4 MAX handles a light OC while also staying quiet thanks to the combination of a thick and thin fan. Until something else can beat it at a lower price, which we highly doubt, this cooler should be at the top of your wish list!"
